WHO: Anyone over the age of 18 who would like to participate in the softball ministry; no experience is necessary.
WHAT WE DO: We participate in a co-ed, slow-pitch, secular softball league. A time of devotion is held before and/or after the game time, and prayer is offered for those saved and unsaved.
WHEN: The team plays games on 10 consecutive Friday nights, and take breaks between seasons. Game times vary: 6:30pm, 7:40pm, 8:50pm.
WHERE: Games are played at a local community park (Little Lake Park, Los Nietos Park, or Lake Center Athletic Park, depending on league choice)
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: League fee is $33. All male participants are required to present a short devotion and participate in the team study group before or after a game, depending on game time.
Our main purpose is to reach out to the lost and hurting people of the community. To show the love of Christ to them, in hopes of drawing them close to the Lord. We strive to sharpen one another through doctrine, fellowship, and prayer. We seek to strengthen our personal walks with the Lord and to equip one another to share our beliefs with others. Devotional time is held before or after each game. Fellowship and breaking of bread, such as, barbecue outreach events, team/ministry fellowships, and communion are held throughout the season.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED:
If you have prayerfully considered joining the Softball Ministry, please complete our church ministry application and contact George Gallegos (for the Men) or Zayd (for the women).
Those interested in joining the ministry should have an open heart and willingness to serve God. Whether we win or lose, we play to shine His light and declare His glory.
